This is a huge collection of clear and simple phonics posters that can be used a number of ways: use as phonics posters on your wall as reference, print smaller to make phonics mini poster cards, cut apart to make phonics matching centers activities, or print at 50% for smaller versions for your writing center to focus on specific spelling patterns.
These phonics posters are meant to be simple and clean looking so as not to overwhelm young readers.
There are four pictures under each heading, along with the word to match.
Ways To Use:
- Print full size for your classroom phonics wall
- Print 1/4 size for smaller phonics cards to use in your writing centers
- Print full size and cut apart for phonics sorting activities in your literacy centers
- Print full size and cut the pictures and words apart for a phonics word/picture match up center
The four pictures/words are separated with light lines as a visual organizer for students, and also function as guide lines should you cut the images apart.
There are 125 posters for the following phonics groups or spelling patterns:
- alphabet
- word families
- blends
- silent e
- diphthongs
- R-controlled vowels
- short vowels
- long vowel pairs
- digraphs
- trigraphs
- double consonant words
The posters feature calming pastel colors. This means that if you print them in black and white, the image details will still be clear even in dark areas. This file includes 125 color posters only, there are no black and white versions included as it would exceed the maximum size limit.
