These are comprehension practice sheets to teach beginning readers the basic phonics sounds for the 26 letters of the alphabet.
(Dots and arrows help them follow the directions.)
Students doing the following for each letter:
1. Say the name of letter.
2. Say said the sound.
3. Use the picture support for the word they say.
4. Say the word.
Use these practice sheets in your literacy center, during small group instruction or bell work/seatwork.
After sufficient practice, use the sheets for ASSESSMENTS for phonemic awareness.
As a BONUS, there are (5) long vowel practice items.
