A great way to teach phonics. These Phonics Poems ideal for new readers. 17 poems covering ay, ee, igh, ow (snow) and oo (zoo). All my poems RHYME and are SYLLABLE counted so that you can get a lovely rhythm going as you read and teach the sounds, this really helps the children.
Read the poems, find the words and then draw a picture and spell the words. PERFECT for little learners and strugglers. I use reinforcement to teach and SECURE knowledge, successfully. Rhyming poems are a fantastic way to teach children to read. They love being able to read the words!
These are my latest Phonic Poems which follow on from my very popular Phonics Poetry aimed at children who need to focus on the sound and not be side-tracked or over-whelmed by tricky words. The poems here do focus on the sound as much as possible, but they also include a wider word choice.
