This is a fun and engaging way to reinforce rhyming words/word families.
Rhyming words/word families help early readers make letter/sound associations
and help students develop sight word vocabulary. Letter sound relationships help children learn how to look for patterns in words.
They also learn that just by changing one letter they will change the whole word. Children who lack phonemic awareness can develop that awareness as they listen for the sounds in words in order to make them. Children who have phonemic awareness learn letter-sound correspondences and spelling patterns.
