Are your students ready to practice spelling words that follow a certain spelling pattern? You MUST check out this engaging, self-checking phonics-based spelling center! It was designed with kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students in mind, to provide them an easy way to practice spelling patterns and encoding words. This resource supports the Science of Reading.

Spellcheck was designed as an easy way for students to practice segmenting, spelling, and writing words and it self-checking! Each page is designed with a spelling pattern in mind. It can easily be added to a center, used during small group, or for fast finishers.

It takes minimal prep time – print and fold – and is designed for students to complete independently.

There are pages for the following patterns:

-Short Vowel CVC words (1 page per vowel)

-Short Vowel Mixed CVC words (3 pages)

-Long Vowel CVCe words (1 page for A, I,O, and U)

-Long Vowel CVCe Mixed words (3 pages)

-Beginning Blends L, R, S words (1 page per blend)

-Beginning Blends L, R, S Mixed words (3 pages)

-Ending Blends L, M, N, R, S words (1 page per blend)

-Ending Blends L, M, N, R, S Mixed words (3 pages)

-Beginning Consonant Digraphs CH, SH, TH words (1 digraph per page)

-Beginning Consonant Digraphs CH, SH, TH Mixed words (3 pages)

-Vowel Teams Mixed words (9 pages)
