Phoneme-Grapheme mapping is an excellent way for students to manipulate the sounds in words and to learn more about the patterns of the English language. Just as students are taught phoneme segmentation beginning in kindergarten, Phoneme-Grapheme mapping now allows students to isolate the individual sounds in words (phoneme segmentation), and then write the letters that represent each sound in the boxes. A great way to begin a new spelling pattern, practice CVC words and other syllable patterns... A must have for all primary teachers!
This resource includes a space for students to write the whole word with a variety of lines for differentiation (solid lines, handwriting lines, various sizes...) as well as the "boxes" for students to write the letter or letters that represent each individual sound. Pages are differentiated for different length of words.
