“Frank and Phrank” is one of a set of short stories written to practice specific phonics sounds and boost student vocabulary. This is the story of two friends, whose names sound they same even though they are spelled differently. They play football in the field, visit Phil in the pharmacy and eat some phenomenal food over the course of a very interesting Friday.
With memorable characters and fun situations students can relate to, each story is an adventure in reading. There are three sets of stories for consonants, long and short vowels.
The consonants set includes five additional stories for b and v, s and z, sh and ch, th, and w and wh. The long and short vowel sets have five stories each. All stories include a worksheet for writing phonics words and question worksheet using vocabulary from the stories. Each set is $5.99.
Accompanying flashcards for each story are available as a free download.
