Phonics Time GIANT Poster Set for Shared Reading / Common Core-Aligned / Miss Jenny / Edutunes
The Phonics Time program is excellent for teaching Common Core Foundational Skill Standards. These 23? x 35 ” black and white posters contain the exact words to all songs on the Phonics Time CD-Book set. (Note that the entire program consists of the CD-Book Set, the full-color DVD, and the posters.)
To use, simply laminate the posters, punch holes to fit your flip chart, and flip through the songs in order. Once you’ve finished the first half of the songs, turn your chart around and continue flipping.
You'll take about an hour to set this up, and then you'll use them everyday, year after year!
I use these posters daily in my classroom--when school starts, after recess/lunch, while transitioning to a floor activity, to introduce a concept, to teach a concept, to review a concept, and before we go home.
Children LOVE to point to the posters as the class sings. Before each song, remind children, “If you sing every word of songs and are learning something new, you may get to point during the next song.” You’ll be surprised at how well children focus and attempt to read every word as they sing.
