What educators are saying

I use this with my after school program kiddos. They really enjoy making words and changing letters/sounds to make new words. I love how everything is laid out; it makes if very easy to teach.

    Description

If you build words during word work with your primary students (often called, "Making Words") and want that routine to be smoother with pre-made short vowel word lessons and coordinating mats, this word building bundle of 55 making words lessons and digital mats is perfect!

2 WAYS TO USE MAKING WORDS LESSONS

Traditional - You can use this resource with traditional Making Words routines. Just laminate the mats and have the kids use dry erase markers to build words with you.

Digital - Use the digital Google Slides mats during word work and have kids build words digitally in Google Classroom or on iPads along with your lesson. Forget having your kids find all the letters they need or taking time to pass out tons of letter cards! Have it all ready to go digitally for your kids!

This bundle is compatible with your interactive white board as well as Google Slides and Google Classroom. Students simply pull up the making words mat needed for that lesson and build the words with you for guided practice.
