Phonics Write the Room | Vowel Digraphs | Vowel Teams Activities

Get your first graders up and moving while they practice reading words with Vowel Teams. These vowel digraphs activities have no colored ink and are super easy to use. The best part, your kids will be so excited every time you introduce a new vowel sound!

In this product, I have combined reading, spelling, phonics/phonemic awareness, alphabetizing, and comprehension skills.

Here's what's included:

• Write the Room - Hide the Vowel Teams words around your classroom. Your students will search the room for them and write them on the recording sheet.

• Vowel Teams Word Searches -Students search and color the same 10 words that are used with the Write the Room Activity. Print these on the back of the recording sheets and you have a perfect early finishers activity!

• Sound Boxes - For practicing phonemic awareness/phonics and spelling. Also a great vocabulary builder for young learners.

5 pages ~ One per Vowel Team ai, ay, ee, ea, igh, y, oa, ow, ui/ue

• ABC Order - Students will practice putting the Vowel Teams words in ABC order. Some of the words go to the 4th letter. Always a good challenge for students that have mastered alphabetizing to the 2nd letter.

10 pages ~ One per Vowel Team - ai, ay, ee, ea, igh, y, oa, ow, ui/ue

• Cut and Paste Comprehension – Students will read a sentence and determine the correct Picture/Word by using context clues. Students will then spell the words with the assistance of letter boxes and paste the picture beside the correct sentence.

10 pages ~ One per Vowel Team - ai, ay, ee, ea, igh, y, oa, ow, ui/ue

• Lined Writing Paper - 4 Pages of lined paper with area for drawing to use for story writing with the Vowel Teams vocabulary.
