You will find 16 words with the “-dge” ending. They include:
edge, hedge, ledge, wedge, sledge, pledge, ridge, bridge, fudge, judge, nudge, budge, budget, badge, dodge and lodge.
Each worksheet page features one of the “-dge” words. The students are to trace the word, write the word, find and circle the correct word, and cut-and-paste the letters to spell the word. I have also included all the words in a format that you can print, cut, laminate and use on a word wall in your classroom.
These worksheets can be used in literacy centers, as homework, and/or used as a mini-lesson to accompany your phonics unit.
**UPDATED 7/18/15** A word search puzzle page and a reading passages page are both now included!
At the end of the document, you will also find each word put together on a puzzle (3 pieces per puzzle). Cut out the puzzle pieces and add this fun activity to your literacy centers! I suggest laminating or printing the puzzle pieces on construction paper or card stock for lasting durability.
