I've used this a variety of ways. Kids love it. They will continue to spin the spinner until you tell them to stop. There isn't any set way of using this product, but below are some suggestions.
Teacher writes the student's current sight words, phonics patterns, or prefixes/suffixes inside spinner area and under the graph. Use a paperclip as a spinner.
Directions for sight words:
Student spins, says the sight word, then writes it in the graph.
Directions for phonics patterns or prefixes/suffixes:
Student spins, thinks of a word with the pattern, then adds it to the graph.
