Do your students receive poems as part of a literacy unit? Do they have to hold on to poems for their Phonics lessons? My students do, so I created a label for a folder with the three-prong brads in it. By setting this up prior to the school year beginning, I can easily move through each lesson with the coordinating poem.
Save downloaded labels to your computer. Using Microsoft Word (version 2008 or better), open a new document. Click "Insert", "Picture," "From File." Then select the pdf of the labels. This will insert the file to Microsoft word. Using the Text Box tool, type in your students' names.
Print using Avery (5164 or 8164) or any other comparable brand white shipping labels (6 per sheet) 4 inches by 3.3 inches.
