I use this as a graphic organizer for phonograms. I have an activeboard flipchart that goes along with this as part of a top secret mission where agents analyze clues to determine the new phonogram of the week.
Ideas for use: cut out several pictures and fancy words that have the target phonogram. Give it to students in an envelope. Hand them a task card which would state to analyze the pictures and the words to determine the phonogram.
Give them phonogram slider cards. Have them use the cards to create words with the phonogram.
Finally, they must use the words they created in sentences.
It's fun and my kiddos love it. For an added touch play some Mission Impossible music in the background when they come in!
