Let's go camping! Use this camping theme download to work on syllable segmenting and blending, phoneme segmenting and blending, rhyme, and alliteration. This packet is 33 pages in length!
Blending Game Board: Give students game board pawns. Provide students with syllables or phonemes. Ask them to blend them together to produce a word. If the student answers correctly, he/she should roll the dice and move around the game board.
Alliteration: Students sort the different pictures (pages 12-14) onto the sorting mats. For example, ‘tent’ starts with ‘t’ so sort all the words that start with ‘t’ onto that mat. (taco, tape, etc.)
Rhyme Sorting: Sort the included items by rhyme.
Syllable Segmenting: Fold each card on the lower line so the dots are hidden. The student will segment the word into syllables. To self check, flip up the dots and touch each dot to check the syllables.
