[NO PRINT & NO PREP / Telepractice & In-Person]
Help your students LISTEN CAREFULLY as they work to detect, identify, and compare initial sounds in words.
Do these words have the same beginning sound? (Fields of 2 pictures)
What sound is at the beginning? (Fields of 2 pictures)
What sounds (blends) are at the beginning? (Fields of 2 pictures, i.e. snake & sneakers)
CLINICAL TARGET MASH-UP: Vary your presentation style to provide each student with their zone of proximal development. Words can be presented auditorily and with significant emphasis on initial sounds, or students can label (vocabulary) and work through the process of phonological processing more independently. Infuse your clinical angle!
