Description

Put a spin on a typical photography or art project by having your students do a photo transfer to a new material base. In addition to creating a new overall look, this project also connects to things being down in the mainstream, with the use of rustic materials as the base of imagery. Students can now learn how it's down.

This printable how to handout walks both teachers and students through the process of completing an image transfer, the supplies needed, and what materials work well for a photo transfer.

In addition to the how to handout, there is also an outline of an assignment that could be used with this project. Both PDF and .docx options are included with this sheet to allow editing.

This product was created in collaboration with my amazing friend and coworker, Meagan Brooker. Meagan has taught for many years, with a focus on AP Art, Drawing, and Photography. In addition, she has been responsible for capturing our annual family photographs, maternity, and newborn pictures that I will treasure forever. This girl knows her stuff, and better yet, how to teach it to students.
