This worksheet asks students to answer questions from 3 different diagrams that outline the process of photosynthesis. It has a simple diagram illustrating the entire process, as well as one for the light reactions specifically, as well as the dark reactions. It is designed so that ALL of the answers can be found somewhere in the diagram, which really makes it about interpreting the information given. It requires some higher order thinking and would work best in a high school biology or advanced biology course. There are 24 questions that include both fill in the blank and short answer responses. It could be used as a more introductory activity after some brief discussion of the process of photosynthesis or as more of a review. It is similar to my "Nitrogen Cycle Worksheet", which is very popular. Check it out!
I use this worksheet as part of my unit on NGSS standard LS1-5, which asks students to use models (diagrams) to illustrate how photosynthesis transforms light energy into stored chemical energy. A key is provided! NOTE: The file you download is high resolution and does not print with any weird lines or marks on it.
