This visualization is made to be the easiest puzzle the students have ever done. The idea is that they have a visualization of how the two processes are the opposite of each other and relate to one another. I have found that students can easily remember photosynthesis, because it makes sense. Plants need water and make food and oxygen. Cellular respiration is a lot harder for them to remember. This is playing on the fact that if you can remember one then you can remember the other. It's just an easy puzzle. This can be done in small groups as an intro where you have the students write out the equations in words and chemical formulas or as a group demo with laminated cardstock and magnets.
