Do you have online students who want to learn and practice phrasal verbs but are tired of "fill in the blanks" exercises? This google slides class is perfect for them!

This class introduces 21 phrasal verbs related to travel and includes lots of speaking practice focusing on the theme of travel. I find my one-on-one online students primarily want to focus on speaking practice, but also at times really need to review some grammar. This lesson seeks to help them improve their phrasal verbs while also incorporating as much speaking practice as possible.

This folder contains 2 copies of a google slide presentation (one with notes for teachers, one without for students) as well as a google doc with extensive teacher's notes.

This lessons contains:

- a warm up (conversational questions about the theme of travel)

-a presentation slide for 2-4 phrasal verbs at a time with example sentences and an interactive matching activity

-a speaking practice slide directly after each presentation slide that contains images for the student to describe using the phrasal verb along with conversation questions to help them get real-life practice (in the speaker's notes).

-a review activity

-a final speaking or writing activity

This lesson runs about 60-90 minutes. It can be lengthened by using all of the speaker notes to add additional questions to the conversation, or shortened by assigning the last 2 slides for homework.
