This is a fill in the blanks and reading comprehension for Phrasal Verbs with up/down and in/out.
It is intermediate/upper intermediate level for ESL learners, and is intended for teenagers or young adults.
It covers such phrasal verbs as:
...and many more.
The first page exercise is fill in the blanks for phrasal verbs in context. Each missing verb is in a mini two line dialogue and must be put into the correct tense for the situation.
The second exercise is a reading comprehension (over 1,000 words in length). It's a fictional story about a school girl who's job is to kill vampires and she kind of sucks at it - the reason for the topic choice was because this was taught to ESL teenagers of grades 11 and 12 (upper high-school) in Thailand. I often change the names of the characters to match the names of the students from the class I'm teaching.
After (or during reading) the students have to find and underline all the phrasal verbs in the story - a difficult task. Following on from this are reading comprehension questions which include true/false and free thinking opinion questions.
The worksheet is fully editable and includes answer keys and sample answers for the open-ended questions.
