While you are teaching about physical adaptations, this is a great way to add writing into your unit. After talking about camouflaging have your students write sentences describing their chameleon that they have camouflaged into a realistic scene on their paper. I let my students use construction paper, color pencils, crayons, markers, etc to camouflage their chameleon's. I get the students three vocabulary words to use in their writing. I google a picture of a chameleon to color and use it on the page.
