This is a great interactive activity that allows students to get a lot of information quickly. The questions correspond with our social studies textbook, but they could be used with an internet scavenger hunt. I assigned a specific topic to 4 different stations. Students moved to each station to find their information. I placed the textbook and other books about each topic at each station. Then I split the class into teams of four and assigned each student within the group a number (1-4). Each student on the team will answer the question that corresponds to their number independently. They will then share their answers with their team. After each team has completed a station, they then rotate and complete the process with each of the topics at each station. There are four types of questions- recall, compare/contrast/ map skill, and higher thinking. Every student will answer each type of question if they stick to their number. For example, student 2 will answer each type of question as they move through the different topics. A quiz is included to ensure that students study all of the information- even the questions they didn't answer themselves. let me know if you have any questions! My students loved working together ad getting and moving to the different stations.
