This Gymucation game was created by Rich Carlson who has 23 years of teaching experience at the elementary school level. He spent 14 years as classroom teacher, and the past 9 years as a Physical Education teacher.
These games are designed to review and reinforce skills taught in the classroom by integrating them into Physical Education activities and lessons. They are a quick and easy way to address the Common Core Standards.

This Gymucation game, “SPELLING VERBS” is aligned with this 3rd Grade Common Core English Language Arts Standard:
Explain the function of nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs in general and their functions in particular sentences.
Although this game aligns with the grade 3 common core it would also be excellent for grade 2 and grade 4.
