Product Description
This is a way for students to get hands-on with pitch and sound vibrations. Prior to the exploration, only have a discussion about the difference between low and high pitch. As students explore the materials, they will discover that low pitches are coming from the vibration of a greater amount of material and a higher pitch will come from vibration of less material. After all students finish their stations, come together and let the class put their observations together.

NGSS Standards addressed
1-PS4-1: Plan and conduct investigations to provide evidence that vibrating materials can make sound and that sound can make materials vibrate.
