In this unit, students will follow a flow map to complete an entire unit about physical states and boiling, melting, and freezing points. Students begin by rating their prior knowledge. Then, students watch a power point about states of matter and record their information in a table. Next, students complete a lab about the states of matter. Then, students demonstrate their learning by creating a tri fold of the physical states and using a rubric to grade their learning. Then, students read about boiling, freezing, and melting points and create a table. Next, students answer open-ended questions and complete a worksheet that shows models of melting, freezing, and boiling. Finally, students create three mini posters. At the end of the unit, students rate their learning.
