This activity includes 2 pages of titles and named substances - physical and chemical changes and an answer page. This activity involves the students getting into groups of 2-4 and cutting out 30 different named substances and their titles out of plain paper. Each title and substance is bordered for easy cutting. Then each group decides which substance goes where (i.e. under which title - physical change or chemical change). As the teacher, you are free to roam around the room checking progress and possibly given hints. The group that correctly identifies all of them is the winner. Please note: some of these changes are difficult for the student to identify which makes this a challenging activity.
