This activity offers a hands-on variation of the traditional T-chart. It can be used in different ways, although I used it as a preassessment, discussion tool (rather than standard notes), independent practice and review.

- the instructions for creating your set of physical and chemical properties categorization (sorting) cards as well as facilitating Categorization Cards in each of the ways mentioned above.
- 30 cards for physical and chemical properties (all fit on one piece of paper to conserve printing)
- proposed answer key
