Print out sets and laminate. Cut out all of the cards, put each set into individual sandwich bags then put all of the sets into one large gallon sized bag with the answer key :)
Use these cards in small groups, with partners or in a station in order to check for understanding of physical and chemical properties and changes. It will also work great for remediation and tutoring individual students.
Have students make a 4-door shutter fold Foldable (two doors on the top, two doors on the bottom). Label the top left door "physical properties," the bottom left door "physical changes,: the top right door "chemical properties" and the bottom right door "chemical changes." Inside, have the students define each, give descriptions, then list the information/draw a picture from the card sort under the appropriate door.
