In this activity students gain an understanding of physical and chemical changes. Students will answer questions determining if a physical or chemical change had occurred. Students will build upon their knowledge by analyzing 5 scenarios and developing evidence distinguishing if a chemical reaction had occurred. The scenarios require students to analyze graphs and look at scientific studies. Students will answer whether or not a chemical reaction had occurred in a short prompt using the CER (Claim , Evidence, Reasoning) method.
