PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The lesson is scaffolded to even the most basic level, and the scaffolds can easily be adjusted for differentiation. The folder contains guided notes (in multiple formats), PowerPoint and homework. This lesson is the second of a three day arc that I have on conservation of mechanical energy. It is a discussion-based lesson from start to finish. The point is that students talk about energy conservation. Students should already know about kinetic, spring potential and gravitational potential energy. This lesson is meant to reinforce concepts, not teach mathematics (that comes in part three). I highly recommend you look up the phet energy skate park simulation (just google it) and show it off to your class (after playing around with it yourself for a bit).
