****This is a shortened version of the original Physics Learning Stations: Exploring Physics- Matter in Motion BUNDLE
found in my TPT store. If timing does not allow your students to explore all 8 learning stations (defining and calculating speed, how forces affect an object's motion, define force, net force, balanced and unbalanced forces, friction- a force that opposes motion, types of friction, friction as helpful, harmful and reducing friction, gravity- a force of attraction, mass and weight, comparing gravity on the moon to gravity on Earth, what if gravity disappeared
on measuring motion) you can purchase a modified version of each station(s).
Measuring Motion: Speed- Students work in groups of 3 or 4 and have about 40 minutes to complete the station activities. Each student records his/her own observations and answers in his/her own lab packet.
Measuring Motion station work includes topic slides, virtual lab calculating speed, Measuring Motion Practice Problems worksheet.
The attached activity file includes detailed instructions for putting together the activity. A list of materials and links to video clips and virtual lab sites are included in the teacher notes. A detailed PPT presentation with answers and additional video clips is included in the attached file.
8 computers with internet access are required for this activity.
The attached zipped file includes:
Matter in Motion: Speed Teacher Notes- 1page pdf
Matter in Motion: Speed Station Instruction Card- 1 page color pdf
Matter in Motion: Speed Student Packet- 3 pages pdf
Measuring Motion Topic Slides- 6 pages pdf
Matter in Motion: Speed REVIEW PPT- 55 slides with links to video clips
