This is a complete kit for holding a physics themed photo contest. It includes a handout for the students with the rules, a sheet for judging, a poster to advertise the contest, and award certificates for the winners. Documents are adorned with an original "Photo Contest" logo. Also included is a list of tips for the teacher/facilitator of the contest.
The premise of this contest is that students have to take a photo of a physics concept in the real world. They turn in the photo along with an explanation of the science evident in the photo. Judging criteria is both on the quality and composition of the photo and the accuracy of the explanation. The instructions to students include an example with a photo showing refraction and an explanation of it.
Each file comes in more than one format - most were designed in Microsoft Publisher, but are also included in Word and PDF formats, for teachers who do not have publisher. Publisher and Word formats can be edited, and PDF format can be printed out with blanks where you can write in names and dates.
