This is a great challenge to use right after a torque lab - find out if the student participated or just watched. One or two forces are applied to the left side of the balance beam and students must calculate the force and / or its distance on the right side to balance the beam. Students have 10 tries to solve each torque problem, choosing from four difficulty levels. Each mission is worth a different number of points.
Descriptions, screen shots, and sample solutions for each problem are provided in the Free Preview Download.
