A fun activity for 9th-11th grade Physics students! This project encourages students to work in groups and invent products that utilize the various laws of physics to work better then other products. I have had students make shoes with extra kinetic energy that give the runner a boost or a cell phone case with more elastic potential energy so that when it fell the case would absorb the shock. It is so fun to see what they come up with! The students then make commercials to advertise their products and show off their knowledge of physics by educating their viewers on how the energy helps their product be better then all the rest! kit includes lesson plans and worksheet packet for students! I suggest having students watch the Flubber movie- or discuss the events from the movie trailer before the lesson. The movie will need to be purchased separately, but the trailer is free on youtube.
