Description

Pi Day is 3.14 and occurs on March 14th, 2022! Use this packet to introduce the concepts of a circle and what Pi is to students in elementary school. I've used this with students in grades 2 - 5 before.

Did you know that Larry Shaw created the first Pi day in 1988? Facts about Pi and questions regarding its practical use are found in this packet. Students learn about the words Pi, diameter, circumference, formula, measurement, symbols, rounding and unit throughout this product. Students have opportunities to explore Pi by answering questions and participating in hand-on fun in exploring the circumference of circles.

Have some fun and learn in the process while exploring Pi. The preview file has the first sheet, which includes information about the history of Pi.
