In this Pi Day activity, students work together to create a giant timeline display on the history of pi. It helps them understand that people from all over the world have worked for thousands of years to understand this elusive number. And when they're done, you have an awesome Pi Day display.
This is a great activity for Pi Day (March 14th) or any day! Each student receives one display card listing a date, contributor, location, and contribution, as well as a map. The student colors or marks the location then displays the card on an eleven-foot long timeline.
