Here is another way for your music students to practice identifying rhythm names!
In this memory matching game, students must match the piano key with it's letter name.
There are 12 matches including rests, beamed and un-beamed groupings.
-Print on cardstock and laminate for durability.
-4 different printer friendly game title designs are provided to create 4 easily organized decks to use in the music classroom.
-Using colored cardstock in addition to white cardstock will allow you to have even more decks!
-Use all 12 matches (24 cards) or choose specific cards to include in a matching game.
- Cards are uncluttered and easy to read, helping students focus on the piano key.
- This is an ideal game for a music station for students to practice piano note names.
Players shuffle and place cards face down. The first player turns over two cards. If the two cards match, the player keeps the pair. ( I find it’s helpful for students to say out loud the rhythms after they turn over each card.)
A match includes a card with the piano key and a card with the letter name of the note.
The game ends when all the matches have been paired. The player with the most matches wins!
