OVERVIEW

Overview
Often, poetry gets a bad reputation because students do not get the chance to find poetry that speaks to them or they do not hear it properly read.

In this packet, students will first discuss the purpose of poetry. Then, they will have the opportunity to watch other poets perform with passion. Finally, students will pick a poem or song of their choice, practice their performance, and present their selection to their peers.
