Product Description
Pick Your Peas - Adding 3 Numbers is a game that focuses on adding 3 single digit numbers. Two different versions for play allow students to work on complements of 10 (we call them lovebirds!) as well as subtracting from 20.

This activity includes 20 pea pods, 48 numbered peas, a mini poster showing the single digits pairs that have a sum of 10, and a worksheet for assessment/student accountability.

Here's how to "Pick Your Peas":

Version 1 - Shuffle the peas. Pick 3 peas without looking at them. Add them up. If the player is correct, s/he gets to keep them and place them on a pod. If the sum is incorrect (the other player can check either mentally or with a calculator), the peas go back in the pile and are reshuffled. Player 2 repeats the process. The first player to fill 6 pods wins the game!

Version 2 - Shuffle the peas. Choose 2 and add them. Tell what pea would need to be added to make a sum of 20. If the player is correct, s/he gets to keep them and place them on a pod. If the sum is incorrect (the other player can check either mentally or with a calculator), the peas go back in the pile and are reshuffled. Player 2 repeats the process. The first player to fill 6 pods wins the game!

I will be posting other Pick Your Peas versions. If you want to be notified when they are posted, please follow me.
