This one is strictly WINTER (No Christmas)... There is a CHRISTMAS one in my store!
Directions: Instruct the students to chose a character and setting to create a story. Tell them it can be as silly as they want! This is all about being creative. The students must include at least one of the random pictures in their story. Challenge them to see how many they can use! They will make up a title and write it at the top of the page. You can use notebook paper but I have included some lined sheets also.
You can glue the story and illustration on construction paper and display around the room or make a book. They students can all join together and take turns reading their story to the class. (They LOVE this part and its great public speaking practice)
The two blank frames are for a cover page if you decide to make a book and the other it for the illustration. Have them decorate the frames too.
I did not write what each picture is because the student should decide. A thunderstorm or on a rain cloud?
At School or a crowded school bus? It is up to them.
Example (but they will use full sentences and details creating a story): A polar bear in a pink tutu rode a bike to school.
Enjoy! Your class will love this activity! Please follow and leave feedback!
