Teaching Math and Literacy Centers can be a Picnic!
Enjoy a literacy and math picnic inside or even outside of of your classroom! I also suggested optional dollar store picnic items that can be used to make this over the top amazing fun for your students.

*Sight Word Sandwiches-sight word recognition and reading
*Fruit Salad Synonyms-synonyms
*Ketchup Words- beginning/ending CH sound sort
*ANTonyms- antonym match up and little booklet
*Grill Kings- -ill and -ing word families
Compound "Cool"-aid- compound words
Sentence Skewers- making sentences
Chip Clip Blends- tr,sp,fl, st
Math Activities:
*Picnic "Area"- measuring area with one inch checkered squares
*Crunching Numbers- numbers and operations using fun chip clips and chip bag graphics.
*Fruit Salad Shapes- matching 2D and 3D shapes
*Comparing Condiments- Ketchup and Mustard less than and greater than
*Number Sentence Sandwiches-building equations
*Grilling Up Fractions-matching up 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 2/3, and whole fractions
*Place Value Punch- matching up 2 digit numbers with tens and ones
