-making a single scale (one picture equals one data point) pictograph

2. Reading Pictographs Lesson
This reading pictographs lesson includes the following concepts:
-what a pictograph is and why we use them
-reading the title and labels of a pictograph
-understanding a pictograph key
-finding how many in each category
-strategies for answering one step addition and subtraction questions based on the pictograph data

3. Pictograph Practice Printables

-four printable student pages for students to read pictographs, make pictographs, and answer questions about pictographs
-tasks and questions are Common Core aligned to standard 2.MD.10
-each page comes with an answer key

4. Spinner Pictographs Activity
Students create and use spinners to practice making pictographs. Fun activity for learning about pictographs, practicing making pictographs, or to review pictographs. Could also be used as a pictograph math center activity.
