These picture based scavenger hunts would be great for emergent readers and ELL learners in a primary classroom! This is a great way get students asking and answering questions. Students will easily be able to identify the intent of the text with the pictures above each short emergent reader sentence. Give each student the same sheet and allow them to mill about the classroom identifying friends who can sign in the box. Increase the difficulty by offering the students more than one sheet, or different sheets for each student. My first graders thoroughly enjoyed using this in our classroom this year! I hope you will too!
