Description

Great end of year unit to keep students engaged. This digital interactive notebook allows students to analyze and create children's books. Have them go to the library or go to the library yourself and grab a BUNCH of classic children's books. The students should also bring in books that their parents read to them when they were younger.

Here's what they will do in the notebook:

- Notice different types of children's picture books.

- Focus on plots, themes, settings, and issues common in these books.

- Analyze use of illustration and text.

- Find literary tools commonly used.

- Determine characterizations of characters and how they are relatable to children.

- Create picture books of their own.
