These flip books are wonderful to use with students to review story elements and comprehension. They can be used in many ways. You can use them as a whole group, center activity or individually. They are great companion activities to accompany the books. For librarians: I use these books with my first and second graders. Sometimes I cut out and staple the books before giving them to the students to save time. Or I will read the story one week and then have them complete the book the next week.
Every book has a total of 5 or 6 pages – including the cover page. Each book is a little different but they all cover story elements, sequencing, vocabulary and comprehension. There are a few places where students need to cut a sentence and glue it in the correct spot. If you prefer you can have students write the sentence instead of having them cut and paste.
On most of the pages where students are required to write I included 2 different versions (one with handwriting lines and one without). You can choose which pages you want to use.
This download only includes the flip books. You will have to purchase the picture books or borrow them from the library.
Please download the preview. The preview shows a small sample of the books. You can go to each individual listing to see a more detailed preview of each book.
I also have a free sample flip book for the book Officer Buckle and Gloria. This will give you a good idea of what all of the flip books will look like. Click here to find it: Officer Buckle and Gloria - Flip Book Freebie
