Product Description
This picture book guide was designed to help teachers prepare their students for Common Core extended response questions. It was also designed to help teachers make digital connections to literature. This guide focuses on inference and character traits.

The guide opens with a link to a website that helps students build interest in the story by viewing an image and discussing hypnotism.

Six guiding questions are provided that can be the basis for whole class discussion or individual student essay response.

An extension idea is provided with a link to a website that shares several optical illusions so students can explore the tricks that your mind can play.

The guide closes with the six guiding questions on three printable pages with plenty of room for written responses. An answer key is also provided.
