Description

Incorporate SUMMER vocabulary into your verbal and written expression lessons with these materials.

The purpose of these materials is to build verbal language as well as written language. These materials will assist students in organizing their thoughts to provide detailed information when speaking or writing.

Students will learn a variety of attributes and characteristics that can be used to improve the content of their verbal and written language.

Students will learn to consider labels, categories, functions, characteristics such as size, shape, color, composition, and parts, along with identifying locations associated with specific items.

The product includes 6 full color picture cards to be used as discussion and teaching cards.

The cards are provided in two formats. One set is designed for use on an iPad and requires no printing. Save the file to iBooks and present individual card pages as needed for teaching and discussion. The second set includes the same 6 items as the no print iPad version, but are on 2 printable pages.

In addition to the 6 cards there are 6 printable worksheet / writing pages (coordinated with the 6 cards) that you may use to have your students practice written language.

Worksheets are provided for two skill levels - 1st - 2nd grade (Picture It! Jr.) and 3rd - 5th grade (Picture It!).

The worksheets provide space for writing and organizing details for specific noun attributes as well as a place for writing a passage title and a descriptive passage about the item.
