The purpose of these materials is to build verbal language as well as written language. These materials will assist students in organizing their thoughts to provide detailed information when speaking or writing. Students will learn a variety of attributes and characteristics that can be used to improve the content of their verbal and written language. Students will learn to consider labels, categories, functions, characteristics such as size, shape, color, composition, and parts, along with identifying locations associated with specific items.
The product includes 100 full color picture cards to be used as discussion and teaching cards. The cards are provided in two formats. One set is designed for use on an iPad and requires no printing. Save the file to iBooks and present individual card pages as needed for teaching and discussion. The second set includes the same 100 items as the no print iPad version, but are on 25 printable pages with 4 cards per page.
In addition to the 100 cards there are 100 printable worksheet / writing pages (coordinated with the 100 cards) that you may use to have your students practice written language. There is also 1 worksheet with no target noun image designed to be used with any picture of your choosing. A worksheet with space for the student to draw and write about their own noun image is also included.
The worksheets provide space for writing and organizing details for specific noun attributes as well as a place for writing a passage title and a descriptive passage about the item.
A PICTURE IT! ANCHOR CHART is also included to assist in teaching students about attributes and characteristics that can be used to improve the content of their verbal and written language.
