They say a picture is worth a thousand words!
For these activities, students look at the pictures and write about them. They use their schema and creativity to tell a story about each picture. It is amazing how many different answers you can get for the same picture!
I included 40 picture prompts, as well as a blank worksheet. Students will draw a picture themselves on the blank one, and then trade papers with a friend. Then they will tell the story of their friend's picture.
Most of the pictures are in black and white for 2 reasons.
First of all, students love coloring in the pictures!
Secondly, it saves on ink. We all know how expensive that can be!
